Yet another dream has become true. This dream is much older than the idea of this web site. It came true on the April 15th 1993 when I said 'I do' to Merja Makinen. The process leading to this situation started a year and half earlier. I met an American middle-aged couple, whom I hosted in our common bachelors flat. They were on their way to Estonia and back via Helsinki. The wife took as a matter of heart to pray a spouse for me. Naturally, I had nothing against that. About six weeks after that I received a letter from an unkown lady. I pondered three week whether to reply or not. Finally I decided to reply. It was a now or never case, you know. One day my door bell rang, and behind the door stood a brown eyed lady. Immediately I had an idea I have seen this lady somewhere. We went for a cup of coffee, and after that there were many other meetings. After dating over a year we got married.

Some problems will come out when you ger married at the middle age. The problem is that you have got into a rut of your fixed habits. Through many storms and troubles we have come to the present day. We really have not walked on red carpet. We have walked on the same road though, and that intention we have for the future. Someday I must acquire a couple of rocking chairs, and possibly walkers, too.

We did not wast time in making children. The working title for the first project was Henri. When we got a baby girl, we were not disappointed at all. Quickly we turned name Katja Anniina. The idea was not to have a similar name in either family. Time has passed quickly, and now that baby girl is a teenager. Daddy's impartial and neutral opinion is that Katja is a pretty young lady in her personal and perky way. Large circle of friends shows that she has social skills, and to say nothing of her artictic talent.

Because we had a girl already we asked for a baby boy. We got him in 1997. Eerik Mikael came into the world. I have wondered a lot how we have got so beautiful children. Namely Eerik is quite a hansome guy. He will be much more handsome than his father, and that is how it should be. He will not suffer for the lack of girl friends. His mind is sharp and tongue, too. Sometimes even too sharp. He is skillful to do things with his hands. I just wonder why the both of them have got such a good sense of humour.
